10億用戶也沒用　YouTube去年沒賺錢

YouTube人氣旺，去年為Google帶來約40億美元（1260億台幣）營收，較2013年大增3成以上，佔Google總營收約6%。不過，消息人士透露，扣除購買內容及設備成本，「僅能大致取得損益平衡」。
 
《華爾街日報》指出，YouTube每月活躍用戶超過10億，但在核心青少年使用者外，難以拓展會員，據分析師估計，85%瀏覽數是由9%用戶所囊括。大部分使用者將YouTube視為影片庫，透過連結或其他網站嵌入影片而來，並非直接造訪YouTube。
 
Google原本希望YouTube使用者可以像打開電視一樣，習慣上YouTube找尋不同的娛樂頻道，2012年時花上億美元，試圖將網站設計成電視一樣的頻道，不但重新設計官網，也調整演算法推銷影片吸引更多點擊率，但許多頻道最後失敗，用戶只局限於年輕人是原因之一，許多YouTube明星離開頻道後知名度不高。（陳冠穎／綜合外電報導）
