「高齡」36歲、近年受過兩次大傷的飛俠Kobe Bryant，新球季歸隊後，會繳出什麼成績？湖人總裁Jeanie Buss對Kobe充滿信心。

「當初Kobe受傷的時候，Phil(Jackson)跟我說，Kobe可能得花一整年復健，但會回來的。」Buss說，「我也知道Kobe這個人，上個球季，為了幫助這支球隊，他扛起很多責任。」

「經過六個月後，Kobe回來了，我知道他經過治療，已經準備好上場。所以我不擔心他是否能有所貢獻。」

對Kobe充滿信心的，還有新教頭Byron Scott，他認為Kobe新球季可以每場平均20分。火箭James Harden也認為，Kobe會回到20歲的狀態。

不過，Kobe在2012-13球季尾聲弄斷阿基里斯腱，隔季雖然復出，也只打了6場就又掛免戰牌。經過這些傷痛挫折，Kobe承認活動能力已不如前，開玩笑說自己好像70歲了。

那麼，為什麼新教頭Scott對Kobe仍如此有信心？答案來自其他人的不看好。

「我很高興有人不看好，」Scott說，「大家繼續不看好，更能激勵Kobe，這樣我的工作就會輕鬆一些。」

就算Kobe真的能夠每場得個20分，教頭Scott也清楚，不能讓飛俠太操勞。Scott透露，會控管新球季Kobe的出賽時間，如果遇上二連戰，那麼Kobe第二戰也可能會休息。
