美國弗羅里達州棕櫚灘一名幾百公斤重的男子在家中跌倒後爬不起來，呼叫救援隊伍『肥胖症』分隊到現場救援。

環球網據美國合眾國際社報導，該分隊在男子家後院打了一個大洞，用特殊的擔架把男子救出來。該男子的朋友唐•埃斯蒂斯(Don Estess)說：『我和鄰居都沒辦法把他救出來，也許他看到家裡被打了一個洞會不高興，但不管怎樣，是救援隊把他救出來的。』

『肥胖症』分隊專門救援體重超過400公斤的肥胖者。隊長馬克•田納(Mark Tenn)說：『 我們的任務就是讓肥胖者冷靜下來，告訴他們，我們要做什麼。最近撥打我們的救援電話的人越來越多了，以前1個月有一例案件，現在數量一直在增加。』
