《查理周報》新總編：我們不是挑釁者

法國政治諷刺雜誌《查理周報》(Charlie Hebdo)前任總編輯夏邦尼耶( Stephane Charbonnier)，在槍手血洗報社的恐怖攻擊中遇害，新任總編輯一職由比亞爾(Gerard Biard)接任，他說《查理周報》並非挑釁者，並將繼續刊登諷刺漫畫，以力挺創作及表達自由。

比亞爾在接受美國《全國廣播公司》(NBC)訪問時，為《查理周報》連番刊登被指褻瀆回教先知的漫畫，而引發恐怖襲擊提出辯護，他指即使繪畫穆罕默德被視為宗教禁忌，但都不應被視作火上加油的挑釁行為，「每次我們畫出先知或其他神明，我們都在捍衛思想自由」。

比亞爾認為，信仰是個人的選擇，不應與政治混為一談，因為「當神明與政治糾纏不清，民主便危在旦夕」，而雜誌社上下要堅持的就只有思想自由、民主與不涉宗教的世俗主義。（於慶中／綜合外電報導）
