遠東航空於7月12日開闢桃園至貴州省貴陽市的航線，每週六出發，在盛夏只需要兩個半小時的飛行時間，就能到達中國大陸西南的避暑勝地。

為了慶祝桃園至貴陽航線開航，遠航特別推出14天經濟艙驚喜優惠票價下殺一萬元起(未稅)，不到三個小時的航程，便將台灣旅客載送到避暑勝地貴州，遠離酷熱煎熬，從寶島到避暑之都，感受不同的自然景觀以及多元民族的文化。

除了票價優惠之外，遠航也與特約旅行社共同構思不同於坊間且又超值貴陽旅遊行程，內容專為台灣旅客量身訂做，包含全程不進購物站讓旅客可以完全安心、高餐標美食饗宴、無自費輕鬆享受行程安排、全程五星級酒店等等。

貴陽由於位在雲貴高原東側，有相當豐富的森林資源，低緯度高海拔的天然條件造就了絕佳的避暑天堂，因而素有「林城」、「避暑之都」之稱，也是中國大陸重點生態旅遊休閒度假城市之一。當地不僅有苗、侗等多個少數民族聚居於此，地無三里平的貴州擁有橫面寬度達101公尺、高度落差達78公尺的黃果樹大瀑布，還有喀斯特地形獨有的地下河與溶洞等天然景觀。
