苗栗市雜貨店大火 2人無生命跡象

苗栗市博愛街南苗市場內一家雜貨店晚上9:30分許發生大火，兇猛火勢延燒3間店面，屋主曹汝秉當時在3樓睡覺，住2樓的16歲外甥何庭碩跑上樓大叫「失火了！」曹從後方貨梯順利逃出火場，外甥可能要再折返2樓跟阿姨張儀君逃生時，不幸被濃煙和烈火圍困，灌救半個多小時，在2樓救出2人時都已無生命跡象。

而因台電搶修工程車一直未能斷電，消防人員灌救時，火花四濺，相當驚險，因火場管制，第2台救護車難以進入火場，最後現場的指揮車將女屋主送醫。因濃煙沖天，連遠在約1公里的法院都能聞到火場煙味。起火原因未明，初步了解，3戶前方的鐵皮建物可能屬違建。（楊永盛／苗栗報導）
