違建火警頻傳　竹市三廠市場違建3月拆

近來違建火警頻傳、禽流感疫情升溫，加上農曆春節將近，竹市府為維護公共安全和食品安全，今天前往違建搭蓋棚架營業的三廠市場聯合稽查，除宣導消防和食安外，也協調攤商訂於3月10日配合拆除違建，輔導攤商安置到公有市場空攤位。

市府表示，三廠市場所在地是原本新竹市第17、18、19村眷村拆除後的空地，9年多前就被攤商違法搭建大型棚架營業至今，期間造成經國路交通瓶頸、環境衛生不良，還曾發生火警，對公安是一大隱憂。

市府都發處今天會同產發處、消防局、工務處等單位，稽查三廠市場。都發處指出，這片遭占用的土地由國防部委託竹市府辦理都市更新，未來不但可以整合長期無法合法使用的畸零地、改善市容景觀，還可提供部分房舍做公益使用及公營出租住宅。（林師民／新竹報導）
