歐普拉傳出有興趣和電影大亨大衛葛芬、甲骨文執行長艾利森共同買下老闆史特林因種族歧視言論被NBA終身禁賽而前途成問題的快艇隊。大衛葛芬周三在email裡說：「艾利森、歐普拉和我... 沒錯，我們正在合夥希望買下快艇。」歐普拉透過一位發言人證實她「和大衛葛芬與艾利森討論在洛杉磯快艇所有權招標時競標。」
