國民黨台北市長參選人連勝文財產申報出現爭議，外界質疑他投資的香港Evenstar資產管理公司虧損，以及財產申報不實。對此，連勝文辦公室發布新聞稿加以澄清。

外界指Evenstar投資公司時也曾慘賠，連陣營表示，訊息並不正確，Evenstar投資基金有分資產管理公司以及基金公司兩部分，連勝文指的慘賠，是指2005年草創時期資產管理公司因為人事,租金等管理費用支出導致「資產管理公司」賠錢，但「基金公司」本身是賺錢的，且在營運上軌道後，基金績效穩定成長。並曾在2009、2010、2013年五年中三年獲得AsiaHedge評選為亞太區十大最佳基金--獲得亞太基金特殊事件導向型 (Event Driven) 最佳策略獎之殊榮。

至於為什麼2009申報時海外資產為0，但2014年確有58萬。因為香港Evenstar資產管理公司原股東於2011年行使股東優先認股權(Option)，連勝文分配額為2萬美金，以此申報。由於該資產管理公司因過去淨值為負，股東優先認股權不具價值，故依據公務人員財產申報法施行細則第14條，認股權需價值20萬元以上才需申報，因此2009年時依法無須申報.
