台灣大、遠傳1800搶今天開台　4G再掀戰火

台灣大（3045）與遠傳（4904）傍晚雙雙宣布，1800MHz的4G服務獲得NCC核准，今天起就開台，兩家業者都先在台北市、新北市、台中市及高雄市等4大都會區推出，9月再逐步擴展至其他縣市，意味電信業者的4G戰火已經愈來愈烈。
 
遠傳表示，今天取得NCC的行動寬頻業務1800MHz特許執照，成為全球第一家提供700+1800雙頻4G服務的電信業者，預計至年底1800MHz信號在全台5大都會區的平均人口覆蓋率將達80%。
 
遠傳也預期，9月底將可在國道一號全線提供高速4G上網服務。
 
台灣大則指出，今天下午取得NCC的行動寬頻業務1800MHz特許執照後，該頻段4G服務正式開台，且700、1800雙頻在9月初可完成載波聚合技術，將可串連提供業界最大的20MHz頻寬，達到150Mbps以上的飆速。（劉煥彥／台北報導）
