傑布布希太太曾兩個月內花270萬買珠寶

華盛頓郵報報導，傑布‧布希可能成為美國共和黨下屆總統候選人，但他太太可倫巴的消費習慣可能對他的總統路構成挑戰。1999年，可倫巴獨自到巴黎旅遊五天，花了1萬9000美元（約台幣57萬元），不想讓傑布知道，向美國海關謊報購物戰利品的數量，遭逮捕並被罰款。

幾個月後，她借錢在一天之內買了4萬2000美元（約台幣120萬元）的珠寶。

1995年，不到六周之內，她在同一家珠寶店消費兩次，總金額9萬美元（約台幣270萬元）。
