北捷濺血外籍男　曾獲北京殘奧銅牌

北捷紅樹林站發生的濺血事件，事件主角之一是一名41歲外籍人士，他叫白瑞德，曾在北京殘奧會為國家爭取到一面銅牌。

納米比亞(The Republic of Namibia)奧運選手白瑞德，在2008年曾代表納米比亞出賽北京殘障奧運會，並於該屆賽事獲得一面鐵餅銅牌。
 
白瑞德原名貝納德(Reginald Benade)，中國《人民網》報導，白瑞德說自己國家沒有專門教練，必須從南非聘請教練，他說自己很幸運能有教練指導。熱愛運動的他，體育就是他的生命，儘管自己身體上有傷殘，也不斷受到病痛折磨，但他非常愛體育運動。白瑞德在2008年北京殘障奧運會上，得到的是男子鐵餅F35/36級別銅牌。（隋昊志／綜合報導）
