2014 年 8 月 24 日 CCTV 報導中國國家質檢總局對市售幾款行動電源的調查結果，其中一款小米牌標註 5,200mA 的行動電源實際容量均未到五成，抽檢了 32 個批次不同品牌的行動電源全都存在安全隱患，17 個批次的產品存在容量虛報。

據質檢總局的報告稱，此次針對北上廣深四地市售的 32 個批次 224 款行動電源進行質量檢驗，其中存在虛報容量的產品佔 53.1%，容量越大的產品市場售價越貴，其中小米、愛比酷、邁特威等行動電源的實際容量不到標註容量的 50%......
