割包皮　降罹攝護腺癌率

加拿大科學家分析長達四年的病歷後發現，三十五歲以後割包皮的男子，與在嬰兒時期就割包皮的人相比，罹患攝護腺癌機率要低三成以上。但國內醫師認為，若要避免因感染而罹患攝護腺癌，使用保險套是比割包皮更簡便的方法。

魁北克大學科學家拿一千五百五十五名在二○○五到二○○九年間罹患攝護腺癌的病例，與一千五百八十六名未罹癌男子做比對，希望找出割包皮與攝護腺癌之間的關係，結果發現，三十五歲以後割包皮者，日後罹癌機率比未割包皮者低了百分之四十五；但在嬰兒時期就割包皮者，日後罹癌機率，只比一般人低百分之十四。

參與這項分析的傳染病學助理教授巴宏特在公佈於最新一期《泌尿學期刊》的報告中說，「有家族病史的高危險群，或許應該將割包皮視為一種降低罹癌率的作法，但還需要更多研究來證實割包皮的效果。」（國際中心╱綜合外電報導）
