金秀賢因《來自星星的你》人氣暴漲，劇中他演繹的癡情都教授吸引了讓無數少女粉絲，現時單身的他，早前就自曝談過9次戀愛，三年內連追四女星包括Miss A的秀智和大他7歲的韓佳人，他更曾聲稱另一半要願意為他死，貫徹南韓大男人本色。

環球時報據香港媒體報導，2007年出道的金秀賢，憑著俊朗外形和深情眼神，在南韓迅速崛起。人紅兼帥氣，自然吸引很多女星。金秀賢當年跟全智賢拍電影《神偷大劫案》曾傳緋聞，目前聲稱單身的他出道雖只得短短六年多，但有指他在3年中已力追四女星，包括2011年流出他和朴寶英的親密合照、同年又傳他分別追合作拍《夢想起飛Dream High》的T-ara成員咸慇晶及Miss A的秀智。

接著前年金秀賢和年長他7歲的韓佳人合拍大熱劇《擁抱太陽的月亮》，雖然女方已婚，但兩人緋聞依然一度傳得火熱。早前金秀賢坦言：『希望41歲才結婚，另一半最好比我小20年。』在《星星》表現情深的他也曾公開說：『我的另一半要願意為我死，心中只有我一個，不能妨礙我工作，需要時一定要在身邊。』十分大男人。
