長期關注敘利亞民眾　日記者淪為IS人質

激進組織「伊斯蘭國」（Islamic State/IS）挾持的兩名人質中，其中一人為長期關注敘利亞情勢的自由撰稿記者後藤健二。路透報導指出，後藤健二去年8月時已經返回日本，但因為太關心敘利亞人權而重返前線，沒想到此行讓他淪為IS人質。

根據《國際財經時報》（IBTimes）報導，後藤健二於1996年自創影片製作公司「獨立社」（Independent Press），並為日本多家電視新聞台拍攝戰區影片。報導指出，後藤十分關注敘利亞內戰及當地的人道危機，他還曾在東京的一場聯合國兒童基金會場合上，發表在敘利亞的報導觀察。

路透報導指出，另一名日本人質湯川遙菜去年8月遭IS綁架時，後藤人已返回日本，但一段YouTube影片顯示，後藤在去年10月又回到敘利亞採訪，外界認為他不久後就在阿勒坡（Aleppo）被IS俘虜。（桂家齊／綜合外電報導）
