在岳陽經開區茆山村胡家組一村民房前，近日岳陽市文物考古所對一座宋代夫妻合葬墓展開搶救性考古發掘。目前已從墓中挖掘出執壺、蓮花瓣瓷碟、魂瓶等器物。
